Think your bundle of joy is the cutest baby on Earth? If Gerber agrees, you could win $50,000—college fund?—plus bragging rights for having spawned the brand's new "spokesbaby." For the ninth year in a row, Gerber is hosting a photo search contest on social media to find the newest Gerber baby, the Democrat and Chronicle reports.

Last year, Lucas Warren of Georgia made history by becoming the first Gerber baby with Down syndrome. In addition to receiving a cash prize, the winner gets to appear in Gerber brand advertisements and social media posts for a year. "Every year, for our annual photo search, we choose the baby who exemplifies Gerber's long-standing heritage of recognizing that every baby is a Gerber baby," Gerber president and CEO Bill Partyka said in a statement.

Citizens of the U.S. and Puerto Rico who are 4 years old (48 months) or younger on the date of entry are eligible for consideration. To enter, just snap a photo of your pride and joy and upload it to Instagram with "#GerberPhotoSearch2018" written in the caption. If your account is private, be sure to change the settings to public so that judges can see your entry. Photo submissions will be judged on visual appeal, expressiveness of the child, and "consistency with Gerber's heritage and its Anything For Baby mission."

The last day to submit photos is October 20, and the winner will be announced on Gerber's Instagram page. For more details, check out the contest's official rules.

Admit it: You've looked into the mirror and said "Bloody Mary" several times ... then momentarily worried that a vengeful ghost might appear and murder you. When and where did this terrifying tradition originate? While both Mary, Queen of Scots and Queen Mary I (who was known as "Bloody Mary") have been cited as source of this particularly creepy piece of folklore, there's no evidence to support either claim. But we've got the real story.

In this all-new edition of "The List Show," Mental Floss editor-in-chief Erin McCarthy—decked out in her finest candy corn-covered duds—traces the origins of 20 scary stories, including which urban myths are aren't myths at all.

Stranger Things Theory Hints At What Might Be In Store for Nancy In Season 4

Nancy Wheeler from Stranger Things might the sassiest, gun-shootin’ big sister there ever was, but according to a recent fan theory on Reddit, it is time for her to get the ax.

User aagaash2001 recently posted a theory about our dear Nancy (Natalia Dyer) in response to speculation that her onscreen (and off-) boyfriend, Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton), would die in the upcoming season.

Aagaash2001 writes, “Everyone is saying that [Jonathan] might be the death that happens in Season 4. At first I thought that might be possible, but then the more I think about it, the more likely Nancy might be killed off.” The fan then explains that Nancy’s death would spark different character arcs for Jonathan, her ex-boyfriend Steve (Joe Keery), her brother Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and her mother (Cara Buono).

The Redditor goes on to argue that Nancy’s death would give Max (Sadie Sink) and Mike, who often bicker, a chance to bond over the loss of a sibling. It would also “heighten the stakes” of the beloved Netflix series, preventing it from getting stale. The user continues with:

“Yes, they killed Billy and Bob, but they were characters we didn't know from Season 1 (but Bob deserved better, let's be honest). And yes, they ‘killed’ Hopper, but until a body is seen, he is not dead. It's time to kill off a character that we knew and loved from Season 1, and unfortunately, as seen in the second [season], she is the most expendable.”

I’m sure some fans would disagree with this theory, but it's true that we will likely need to brace ourselves for another big loss in the forthcoming season.
